These are bedrooms one, two, three, and the kitchen and bathroom. I am pleased with how everything but the bathroom came out, I was having a difficult time working with it and I can't figure out why it is so dotted. Overall I like the final product that you can achieve with viz, even though the program is difficult to use. I still need more time with it obviously to get better.

CNNC Schematic Design

The concept for my schematic design of CNNC is the idea of "pathways". CNNC is the pathway to a new life for all of the immigrants coming through their doors so I thought it was important to have the building mirror this. Through use of a strong axial plan, and pathways created through the flooring material, with color and light aiding in the guidance of the building, I have created a clean, direct and warm plan for the CNNC group.

I decided to use Pop Art as my inspiration for my Vote! poster. I wanted to do something fun and lighthearted since politics are so serious, I thought it would be a good change of pace. I took a picture of my horses rear, and modified it. Even though the design is simple it took several hours to ge the craft to par. I think its really pretty goofy but its a fun poster and I enjoyed it.

Styles In Graphic Design

Nostalgic Remix~ No fonts are used in this graphic tee, this classic pattern of grandpa's socks brings back memories of the good old days. The monotone pattern with the spark of red makes the pattern more noticable. The graphic pattern is just on the front of the shirt in a square which makes the shirt seem more modern.

Retro Mod~ Different fonts are used to express the different messages of the add like the "Happy Holidays" which harkens to the retro days. It is the most important text on the add. It is also the brightest part of the add as well, which makes it easy to understand what the add is portraying. The wavy texture in the bottom left corner helps understand that this is an add for hair cuts and design. The spacing is done in a grid pattern to make the informational easily readable.


Pop Art~ Fonts are used rarely in this add they are not the main focus. The colors are very bright, hence the "pop" about the art. Bold primary colors are the favorite choice. Textures are also used to assist in the different areas of the image. Since shade and shadow is not used, texture needs to be used. The face is the largest part of the image with everything else framing it.


Bauhaus~ Fonts are used in very linear block terms accentuating the design. Colors are fairly monochromatic and muted. Everything is smooth, to evoke the smooth, sleekness of Bauhaus design. The design is turned on an angle instead of being directly up and down to add the interest of the piece. The important aspect of Bauhaus design is the simple quality of their designs and the understated accents.

Subway Iteration

Here is my first attempt at Illustrator. This was sooo frustrating!! But the end result is very cool. I like all the different things you can do with illustrator, it is so different than photoshop.
